Norah Syokau Katunga

Norah Syokau Katunga is working on:

  • Assisting in carrying out research and studies on various urban law and governance topics such as the urban planning law, public participation and climate smart urban planning legislation.
  • Providing backstopping support to ongoing and pipeline projects such as; Review of the Urban Planning and Local Government Law in Vietnam, Urban Governance Mapping Etc.
  • Analyzing and presenting the data gathered from diverse sources.
  • Contributing to written outputs and other draft background papers, reports and studies and inputs to publications such as submissions to the 22nd Session of the UN Committee of Experts on Public Administration.

She holds a Post- Graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law and a Bachelor degree in Law from Strathmore University.  Before joining UN-Habitat, he/she worked at DLA Piper – IKM Advocates as a Trainee Advocate on Tax, Commercial, Corporate and Capital Markets, Finance and Real Estate and Dispute Resolution. Norah is fluent in English and Kiswahili.
