Martti Karttunen is working on Policy, Governance and Urban-Rural Linkages. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Helsinki and is currently finishing his master’s thesis on EU refugee policy and gender. Before joining UN-Habitat, he worked in Copenhagen at the UNDP Nordic Representation Office in Copenhagen as a communications and liaison intern. He has also interned in Republic of Korea at the Embassy of Finland, working on gender equality, political reporting, and human rights. Marti is fluent in Finnish and English.
