Emmanuel Adeleke

Emmanuel is working on implementation of Sub-National Urban Policy, Urban-Rural linkages and other Urban Support Programmes in Niger State, Nigeria. He holds Bachelor and Master Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from University of Lagos, Nigeria. He is a certified Urban Planner by the Town Planners Registration Council of Nigeria and also a member of Nigerian Institute of Town Planners.

Before joining UN-Habitat, Emmanuel previously worked with Urban Planning Consulting firms in Nigeria (Vistaplan Consulting and MasterPlan Consult) as Urban Planner/Project coordinator where he participated in the preparation of Oshodi-Isolo Physical Development Policy, The Redeemed Christian Church of God Physical Development Plan, Orange Island Physical Development plan, and over 25 University Campus Development Plans across Nigeria.

As part of his work experience, he also worked as a programme management intern with the Regional Office for Africa Branch of UN-Habitat where he assisted in carrying out research and provided technical support in the implementation of different programmes on urban and economic development mostly in sub-sahara African countries. He equally worked with Lagos State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development as a Volunteer (Urban Planner) where he participated in the preparation and review of Physical Development Policy (Model City Plan) for Alimosho Local Government Area and Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area.Emmanuel is fluent in English and Yoruba.
