Ellen van Selm has been the Mayor of the municipality of Opsterland since 2014. Opsterland is a rural municipality in the province of Friesland, in the North of the Netherlands. With her background as a rural sociologist, she feels at home working for this rural municipality. Ellen is married and has three children.
Adriano Campolina is an agronomist and holds a masters in Development, Agriculture and Society. His work focused on strengthening smallholder sustainable farming; promoting food security, poverty eradication, the right to food and equitable land tenure.
Professor Fan Yongsheng, a Doctoral Supervisor and the former President of Zhejiang University of TCM, is one of the First-batch National Prestigious TCM Doctors, a Chief Scientist of National“973”Project, a famous teacher of TCM Institution of Higher Learning, a Qihuang Scholar, the winner of special government allowance
Forestry Engineer, Magister in Geography and Magister in Environmental Management. Specialist in Geographic Information Systems from Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas and IGAC. He has work experience in the public sector as General Director of the Rural and Agricultural Planning Unit (UPRA)
Hu Jian, former Executive Deputy Director of Publicity Department of Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, is now a Counselor of Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government, a Member of Advisory Committee, an Expert of the Think Tank of Zhejiang CPPCC, and a part-time professor of Zhejiang University, China Academy of Art and Zhejiang Provincial Party Schoo
Dr. Jane Battersby is an urban geographer based at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. She has worked on urban food security, food systems and their governance in the African context since 2007.
Joe Ravetz is the Leader on Future-Wise Cities for the Manchester Urban Institute, and currently director of the global project Peri-cene (peri-urbanization and climate-environment). He has worked on foresight / systems analysis, sustainable cities, climate / environment policy, and economic development, as Co-Director of the Centre for Urban Resilience.
Luo Deyin, associate professor of School of Architecture of Tsinghua University, is the Vice Chairman of Traditional Village Expert Steering Committee of Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development, the Chairman of Rural Rejuvenation Forum and the Vice Chairman of Academic Committee of Vernacular Dwellings.
Li Jiahui, the Founder of the First TCM Therapy and Living Complex in China and the Founder of Zhengzhou Dong Ji Tang TCM Clinic in Henan Province . Born into a traditional medical family, Ms. Li has more than 20 years’ experience in medical works.
Dr Li Sun is an assistant professor at the University of Leeds. Dr Sun has strong international work experience as prior to the UK, she lived and worked in China, Germany, the US, and the Netherlands. Besides academic positions, Dr Sun also serves as a consultant to the UN, World Bank, and OECD, as well as government offices in the UK, the Netherlands, and China
Maria-Teresa Nogales is the founder and Executive Director of Fundación Alternativas, a Bolivian non-profit organization dedicated to employing multidisciplinary approaches to guaranteeing people’s right to food.
Wang Zhen is a Vice Chairman of Zhejiang Physicians Association, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Zhejiang Association of Preventive Medicine, Editor-in-chief of Preventive Medicine and Health Review, part-time professor of Zhejiang University, and master tutor of Ningbo University.

Yu Yunfeng comes from Haining of Zhejiang, currently appointed as the Associate Professor & Postgraduate Tutor of the Economics Teaching and Research Department of the CPC Zhejiang Committee Party School (Zhejiang Administration Institute), and the Deputy Director of Zhejiang Economic Research Center.

His major contribution to human settlement sector include recognition and involvement of the local communities in planning, he prepared the first ever basic urban services information index for two of the major cities of Minna and Suleja where all the major urban activity areas were identified and mapped.
Vicente supports national and sub-national authorities through economic analysis and policy recommendations in order to enhance the effectiveness of territorial development strategies. His worked has focused on improving the design and coherence of both urban and rural policy in OECD countries.
