Welcome to our 6th Edition of the Urban-Rural Linkages Newsletter.

In this edition, we take stock of the progress made by UN-Habitat and partners, on urban-rural linkages, since February
2023 when the 5th edition of the newsletter was released. We also flash back to the recently concluded Second United
Nations Habitat Assembly (UNHA2), focusing on key events and sessions on urban-rural linkages.

From a set of prepared guiding questions, this edition features interviews with experts (academia, field experts, government) on the concept of urban-rural linkages past, present and future. We also shed light on what’s to come for the remainder of the year 2023.
