Humboldt Residency Programme 2025
The current application period is open and will be for admission from June–November 2025, with an in-person residency from 4 August to 12 September.
Application deadline for the Humboldt Residency Programme under the theme “The Future of Food” application deadline: December 9th 2024.
Please note: Applicants must demonstrate a connection to the annual theme in their work and are encouraged to adopt innovative or creative approaches.

FUNDING OpPortunities
The opportunity Includes a monthly allowance, travel expenses, accommodation, and support for public events.
The programme offers a platform to explore bold ideas and communicate them to diverse audiences through innovative formats.
Eligibility
Participants may include:
- Humboldt Foundation alumni/ae not currently involved in Foundation programmes.
- Junior researchers pursuing or recently completing their PhD (within the last four years).
- Individuals from civil society, journalism, arts, or social entrepreneurship.
