Journal Launch – Urban Regeneration. Producing Knowledge on Sustainable Urban and Rural Transformation
Initiated by Shanghai University and supported by UN-Habitat, the journal Urban Regeneration focuses on original interdisciplinary research in the digital age. It publishes articles on many aspects of urban and rural regeneration practices, methods, governance, and research. It distinguishes itself in providing an interdisciplinary platform for the exchange of ideas and information among scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and analysts from all disciplines.
The primary aims of the journal are to encourage and promote interdisciplinary studies on exploring urban regeneration, including cooperation among urban planning, sociology, computation, arts, management and beyond. It engages in debates and reflections of effective and ineffective planning policies; and the transferred knowledge of different regions and contexts in both the developed and the developing world.
