Suzanne Koufana currently provides technical support for the Policy, Legislation and Governance Section and is involved in the development and implementation of national urban policies across several Francophone countries, including monitoring the project ‘Leaving No Place Behind – Strengthening Urban-Rural Linkages in selected countries in Africa’. Prior to joining UN-Habitat, Ms. Koufana worked as a civil engineer in road construction with the private sector and was a policy action expert working as a researcher at the General Directorate of Technical Studies in the Ministry of Public Works of Cameroon. Ms. Koufana has a Master’s degree in Management of Public Institutions from the HEC-Lièges in Belgium and a Civil Engineering Diploma at the Polytechnic School of Douala in Cameroon. She is fluent in English and French.
