PLGS 2020 Annual Report

This is the first Annual Report of UN-Habitat’s Policy, Legislation and Governance Section. It highlights the section’s implementation of the Strategic Plan 2020-2023 for 2020 and outlines the contributions and results realized across various key programmes and projects at the local, national, regional and global levels between November 2019 and the end of 2020. The period reviewed not only encompassed a major organizational restructuring by UN-Habitat in January 2020, but it also featured one of the most serious global health crises in living memory. COVID-19 raised challenges few people had ever encountered before. Nevertheless, it was a productive and dynamic period for the Policy, Legislation and Governance Section and this report bears witness to the strength, courage, energy, resourcefulness and resilience of the people in the section’s team as well as communities they serve.
